ESWT
(extracorporeal shock wave therapy)
Non-surgical treatment using shock waves
for treating complaints of painful heel spurs,
plantar fasciitis and damaged Achilles tendons.
This procedure is similar to lithotripsy, used
to break-up kidney stones. Patients are able
to walk immediately as compared to 3-8 weeks
of recovery with conventional surgical treatments.
Orthotics
Problems like heel spurs, tendonitis, calluses,
flat feet, chronic ankle sprains and bunions
are often easily treated by simply fitting
your feet with custom-made shoe inserts
called orthotics. Worn in your shoe, orthotics
correct the way you walk, eliminating the
problem and often the need for surgery.
We stand behind our orthotics. We'll make
sure they fit comfortably the first time
or adjust them until they do.
Children's
Feet
Dr. Wishnie is specially trained in the care of children's feet. He spent a
year at the children's hospital in Jerusalem, Israel. Most parents are told
that their children will grow out of their flat feet or in-toeing. However,
most of them do not. We recommend seeing the child as early as possible so
we can prescribe one of the many conservative treatments available to correct
these problems.
