Are store bought orthotics good enough for heel pain?
A: No, no, no! Store bought orthotics, like Dr. Scholl's orthotics are full of flaws. First, they are not 'custom'. In order for the orthotics to be custom, they need to be molded to your feet. Dr. Scholl's does not cast to your foot. Also, you need to be evaluated for further problems before you are put straight into an orthotic. Will the Dr. Scholl's machine check for achilles tendonitis, heel spurs, ankle sprains? There are many reasons we do not recommend the Dr. Scholl's orthotics.
