What is an appropriate length for high heels?

When you are looking to buy high heels, we recommend you to stay away from those heels that are 5 to 6 inches high. Not only is that high of a heel uncomfortable, but it can cause a great amount of pain in your feet, specifically your heel. Heel pain will cause a lot of pressure on the balls of your feet. If bunions and hammertoes run in your family, we recommend low heels and a square or rounded toe box. high heels foot pain

In general, high heels can cause a laundry list of problems such as contractures, stress fractures, and ankle sprains. We highly recommend that you buy high heels that are 1 to 2 inches high.  However, if you want more height, a platform shoe will give you the height you want without any pain.  Keep in mind, when wearing high heels you should wear them in moderation and not for a long period of time.
