Does the practice have a Pedorthist on staff?
A: Yes, we have a certified Pedorthist, Dawn Lewis, who is very knowledgable about shoewear. Dawn has a long history of shoewear experience, having managed a few Aldo shoe stoers in NJ and NY. After working at Family Foot & Ankle Specialists for over 7 years and aquiring all of the skills of a pedorthist, she went on to become certified as a Pedorthist. Pedorthists are specialized in footwear which includes shoes, shoe modifications, foot orthoses, and other pedorthic devices.
We have many shoes options at our office that are both stylish and very comfortable. Now, Dawn is able to meet all of your footwear needs. Proper shoewear is vital to protect against bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, and protect diabetics from possible amputations. It is essential to wear proper shoes to prevent many serious and painful complications.
