How Often Will My Doctor Check My Orthotics?

Your orthotics can change shape over time, and if they do, they will affect your gait.  This can lead to a return of a previous problem, or even can cause a new one.  The bottom of the orthotic has a heel, which we call a post.  This post is angled in a certain way to correct your gait.  The post can wear down, and if this happens, the doctor can fix it in a matter of minutes.  This simple,15 minute appointment can save you from further problems.

orthotics benefits

Our doctors will check your orthotics soon after you recieve them to make sure they are working effectively and fitting properly. After that, we will continue to monitor your orthotics to make sure they are not wearing in way that can negatively effect your feet. Your doctor will determine when you should come in to have them checked.
