Many women experience swollen feet and swollen hands during pregnancy. With all of the extra fluids circulating throughout your body to help nourish the body, some of them will begin to pool in your feet and ankles and your hands. In addition, with extra weight gain, your feet could have added some extra weight, as well.

Usually around the 22nd week, women begin to notice that their feet and ankles have become swollen. It might be difficult to wear your normal shoes or socks. This swelling problem can also effect your hands which is why some women choose to take off their wedding rings before they are stuck on their chubby little digits. Depending on the type of day and the weather your feet might be more or less swollen.

The swelling, in most cases, is perfectly normal and there isn't too much that can be done. Upon delivery, you should start to see the swelling subside, to much relief.
