Gout "flares" can be very painful and are usually related to your diet. There are foods you should avoid to reduce the number of gout attacks you have such as beer, shellfish, and meat. However, there are some foods that can also benefit you:

  • Foods High in Vitamin C
  • Dairy Products
  • Cherries
  • Vegetables (most)

If you are experiencing pain from gout, you should see a podiatrist so they can check to make sure you are treating the problem correctly. In addition, there are some medications that c help to prevent further gout attacks and reduce your pain.
