The difference between aesthetic and cosmetic surgery is the reason for the surgery although the results are the same. For a cosmetic surgery the reason for the surgery is to make the foot look better.

Cosmetic Foot Surgeries Can Include:

  • Making the foot more narrow to fit into shoes
  • Botox injections to decarease foot sweating
  • Toe lengthening/shortening to adjust the size of a toe

For aesthetic surgery the reason for the surgery is to change the foot to make the person feel more comfortable or to relieve pain, although the foot may look better as a result. For example, someone who gets their painful bunion surgically removed is an aesthetic surgery even though the foot may look better after.

Aesthetic Surgeries:

  • Bunion Surgery
  • Hammertoe Surgery
