Our patients have many concerns about bunion surgery. One of the most common questions we hear is, how long after bunion surgery can I begin to walk. Walking after bunion surgery will depend on on many facors. The severity of your case will influence your recovery time greatly. If you had mild bunion surgery, you will be able to walk much sooner than someone who had a severe bunion surgery. In addition, the type of walking you're doing. If you want to go o the movies, you will be given approval much sooner than if you want to return to work. Typically, you will not be able to put any weight on the foot anywhere from 3 days to 6 weeks.

In order to prevent a long recovery time, the sooner the better for gettting treated. To make an appointment to visit our office and discuss your treatment options click here.
