Heel pain in the morning is very common. It is usually caused because the foot has been resting for an extended period of time so the ligaments and tendons become tight and rigid. There are many foot problems that can cause this problem, most commonly heel pain.

Once you get up and step out of bed, the ligaments are stretched out fast and become very painful. The best way to help this problem is to do heel stretches, discuss injections with your doctor, and wear orthotics to help support the foot. If you ar experiencing heel pain in the morning, you should see a doctor, as this could mean more serious underlying problems.
