Bunions and hammertoes are very common foot problems. They often go hand in hand. A severe bunion can cause hammertoes. While bunions are not caused by shoes, they can aggravate the condition and begin to make it worse. Bunions are caused by genetics which causes the big toe joint to move toward the 2nd toe. This can cause rubbing and irritation. There are conservative treatments to help alleviate friction, bunion surgery is a common treatment for more serious cases. 

Gout

Gout is a condition causes by the build up of uric acid in the blood. your diet has a lot to do with the pain or flare ups caused by gout. There are medications that can help to prevent gout pain. In addition, simple changes to your diet can keep flare ups away!

Neuroma

A neuroma is a scarring of a small nerve between your toes. Neuromas are usually caused by biomechanical problems, such as, a problematic bone structure and wearing shoes that are too small. Standing for long periods of time can make the neuroma more painful or irritated. Proper shoes, custom orthotics and surgery are common treatment options.
