Our patient is thankful to Dr. Wishnie for getting rid of her "bumpy, lumpy, layered fungied ingrown toenails"! They looked and felt weird but after being treated, she is feeling much better!
Ever since I was little and ever since I can remember... all of my life, I have had the bumpy, lumpy, layered fungied ingrown toenails on both of my big toes. I never thought that it would ever even be possible able to get rid of my bumpy, lumpy, layered fungied ingrown toenail's that were on both of my big toe's. It also became annoying because, my socks would catch on those two big toenails and it would feel funny and majorly weird, it was a feeling that someone would really not want to feel. For this - for removing my bumpy, lumpy, layered fungied ingrown toenails on both of my big toe's AND for making it so that those toenail's never grow back like that or at all, Dr. Wishnie, my deepest and humblest Thank-You.Keren Amy Horowitz
A patient describes how much pain she had before seeing Dr. Wishnie. She couldn't exercise, walking was painful, even getting out of bed was a painful task.
The pain on my heel and toes were very bad and to walk or exercise was unthinkable. I couldn't stand or walk when I woke up in the morning. I had to soak my feet with hot water for about 10-15 minutes before I started walking. I feel so great that I forgot about my past pain. The shoes that were recommended are perfect. I am so glad my doctor recommended me to Dr. Wishnie, he's such a nice gentleman. He gave me great care and made my life much, much better.Negetwa Helawe
Dr. Wishnie has helped thousands of people get rid of their bunions and back to their normal life- wearing their preferred shoes, doing the activities they love. Dr. Wishnie listened to what his patient Selma wanted to be able to do after getting rid of her bunion.
I had persistent pain up to an 8 out 10 in my left foot. I couldn't wear high enclosed heels due to the bunion on my left foot. Now, I'm feeling great thanks to Dr. Wishnie. He is a wonderful doctor who listens to the patient.Selma Shah
Catalina was suffering from foot pain before being treated in the office. She is feeling much better now and has learned that our shoes and the way we walk greatly influences whether we experience pain in our feet.
The pain was severe, shooting, sharp persistent at times. The most pain I felt was a 10 out of 10. I was limited to be on my feet for too long, driving, walking too far. I couldn't step on my foot properly. I feel much better. No pain anymore! Going for walks and dancing now. I learned the shoes we wear and how we walk contributes to foot problems. Doing exercises on our feet helps prevent problems.Catalina Jose
Our patient is thankful to be able to walk and run normally again. They're excited to be getting back to playing sports again soon!
I had nearly constant discomfort. Walking and running were always unpleasant. Probably a 5 or 6 for pain, it was persistent! I couldn't run, do long walks or play sports normally. My pain is almost entirely gone! Most days I don't even notice my ankles at all. I am running and walking again, and I hope to be playing sports again soon! Thanks!David Giancaspro
Dr. Wishnie corrected a curly, crooked toe on one of our young patients. This little girl was born with a curled toe that didn't cause pain, but did cause discomfort and inconvenience.
She didn't have pain, just discomfort in trying on shoes. The toe would catch if running barefoot. Also, athletes foot was hard to cure under those toes. She's doing great! No problems. Caroline likes the way her new toes look!Anna Maria Kukuruza
Our patient thought she would have to stop jogging and doing 5K's altogether due to her severe and intense heel pain. However, she is running pain free.
I had intense, severe, sharp heel pain when I first stepped out of bed. it impacted me all day. It was an 8 out of 10 at its worst. I suffered with pain for 8+ months figuring it would "eventually go away on its own." It did not. I love to jog and do 5K races and the pain got to the point that I could not even jog 1/4 mile without feeling excruciating right heel pain and being forced to stop. It was very painful to walk on a daily basis. Being in constant pain is very frustrating and stressful. I worried that I'd have to stop jogging altogether and found that VERY upsetting. I have 0 pain now! I went into the office at the suggestion of a fellow runner friend. They took ultrasounds, X-rays and gave me a cortisone injection to my right heel. Within a half hour it alleviated my heel pain. Now, 6 weeks later, I'm still pain free. I ran 5 miles pain free 2 days ago (furthest distance ever for me!) I'm looking forward to increasing my jogging distance and continuing to be grateful that thanks to Dr. Wishnie, I am "PAIN FREE!!" THANK YOU SO MUCH!Darlene Abry
Our patient is able to walk 10,000 steps after having surgery. They are now able to walk their 10,000 steps without pain or blisters. She also really appreciated the phone call from Dr. Wishnie following the surgery.
I feel confident now. I enjoy walking. However, before the surgery, I would develop blisters on my feet. After the surgery, I am able to walk 10,000 steps without developing blisters. I would advise anyone to read the educational information on the website www.stopfootpainfast.com. Also, I greatly appreciate the phone call after the surgery from Dr. Wishnie.Janet Witherspoon
Our patient was suffering from an unpleasant ache in their ankles. Now, after being treated and using their orthotics, they are feeling much better and getting back to their physical activities!
It was a dull ache on the inside and outside of my ankles. It was very unpleasant. I couldn't walk long distances or play sports involving sharp cuts or change of direction. After treatment, I feel better. My ankles are stronger and I'm close to being back to full physical activity. The insoles and treatment plan have been exactly what I needed! Thanks!David Giancaspro

Our patient had such a great experience in our Hillsborough office that he took the time to write in a very kind and heartfelt letter of appreciation. He was pleased with all of the team members he encountered in the office from the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor. We are so happy to be able to treat our patients everyday.
Dear Dr. Wishnie, Of all the medical doctors I have seen and most specialists too, your practice is the only one I can remember where both the receptionist and nursing staff were happy to be doing their jobs and communicated that to the patient through words and body language that the patient, in this case me I felt I would receive good care and the motto of physicians, "do no harm", clearly applied. The staff that I encountered in Hillsborough, Ashley- the receptionist, she has a great sense of humor and responded to me with great joy. Elaine the nurse was terrific and also very compassionate and kind. Last but not least was Dr. Schaeffer, he was smiling when I saw him and not laughing at me but with me. I told him of an injury of stubbing my toe with bleeding and he administered some kind of cream Silvadene, that immediately brought the pain to an end. Elaine gave me iodine to take home after that. So whatever else you need as a testimony, I will supply it. The testimonials on the website are great but mine was really about the staff and their friendly, happy, professional manner!Kevin Whalen

The foot pain I had before the surgery was very severe which was what prompted me to call the doctor. I couldn't keep a shoe on. I stopped walking for exercise and avoided and trip/outing which involved long walks. I have had no pain since the surgery other than the post op period.Charlett Toris

A patient describes the treatment of their ingrown toenail, as well as healing their wound. Debbie was very worried that her wound would not heal and our doctor took the time to treat the wound over a few visits to make sure the patient got the best treatment.
My wound was on my leg above my ankle. There wasn't much pain, but it wasn't healing! When I went in for an ingrown that way maybe a 6 on the pain scale (out of 10), The doctor told me she was concerned my wound wouldn't heal on it's own. The doctor cleared my ingrown, but also went out of her way to help me close the wound. It took about 5-6 visits but she worked to make sure it healed. I was so happy. I wasn't sure if it would ever heal.Debbie Timpson
A patient describes how after 7 months of excruciating pain, she is finally back to living her normal life. Sherri was so thrilled!
For 7 months, I experienced severe shooting, sharp, persistent and constant pain that registered between an 8-10 everyday. My pain made it difficult for me to do the things that I love like walking and dancing. I love this office, the staff is so warm and courteous. They always made me feel at home. Since my cryosurgery, my pain has decreased from a 10 to 0. For 7 months I lived with such excruciating pain in my right heel.Sherri Hartgrove
