The bunion sticking out of my foot was rubbing against the side of shoes I wore. It was especially painful with hard shoes like ski boots, to the point I stopped skiing. I could not wear normal shoes or special shoes required for sports like skiing. My left foot had the surgery and has been recovering well. I feel like I can do any sport after just a month and a half!
