The difference between the foot and the ankle is like a door hinge. Our ankle joint is composed of a few bones including the tibia, fibula, and talus. Those components make a proper hinge joint, allowing us to walk and go through our appropriate gate cycle. The ankle has a ton of problems as well due to the tendons and muscles running through it. There are a lot of injuries that occur to an ankle, but as podiatry has progressed through the years and with my training at Hoboken University Medical Center, we can now treat. Injuries such as peroneal tendon repairs, ankle fractures, osteochondral lesions to the talus, and a variety of other things that we are now trained to take care of. This is an advancement in our field that I have been properly trained. If you are having any type of ankle pain, please make an appointment with our Piscataway office and I will evaluate your ankle issue. You can reach us at 732-968-3833 or online at
